IT BROKE THE HEART OF JESUSJune 20, 2008 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10: 12, 13 Last night while I was taking a shower, the telephone rang. I checked my caller ID when I got out of the shower to see who had called me. I called this lady back and I wish with all of my heart that I had not called her back. For ten minutes I listened as she said negative and criticizing remarks about teenagers and people of a different color than she is. I finally was able to get a word in and I told her that it does not matter what color we are, all of us make mistakes and sin. How this lady must have broke the heart of Jesus as He listened to the way she put down these teenagers who are not the same color as she is. He shed His precious blood for all people. How dare she or any of us say negative and criticizing remarks about people just because they are not the same color as we are! As she was talking, I thought about the mission trip that she went on two years ago. I wondered why she went on that mission trip. Did she go just to impress people? I dont know and I dont have any right to judge her. I do know that we read in the Bible Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 7: 20, 21). Those of us who claim to be Christians, those of us who have given our hearts to Jesus, need to be very careful how we live our lives because the world is watching us to see what kind of fruit we are producing. What kind of fruit are you producing in your life? Are you producing fruit that makes Jesus happy or are you producing fruit that breaks His heart? Do your family and friends hear kind and encouraging words when you talk or do they hear harsh and criticizing words? Do you think that your race is superior to other races? May God forgive you if you do because you are not doing the will of our Heavenly Father and you are breaking the heart of Jesus.
